A more tactile expression of a Dubai landmark.
Burj Al Arab is usually understood through its silhouette. Tom Wright’s sail-inspired design for Atkins made the hotel a recognisable part of Dubai’s identity, while Khuan Chew’s original interiors gave it an equally distinctive world within. The outdoor experience introduces another register: less about a distant image, more about the physical comfort of being there.
Property features outdoor furniture from DEDON and Bivaq, working with Jumeirah. The package brought specialist outdoor collections into a property whose guest experience carries unusually strong expectations of individuality and detail.
Architecture creates the larger impression; furniture is encountered directly, at the scale of the body and the duration of a stay. DEDON and Bivaq bring that more personal layer to the hotel’s exterior environment. Against the grand identity of Burj Al Arab, outdoor furniture offers a different expression of luxury: one based on material, comfort and the pleasure of spending time outside.
