Where the villa ends, the landscape takes over.

At Cheval Blanc Seychelles, the boundary between the villa and the landscape is deliberately light. Set at Anse Intendance on Mahé, the maison pairs Jean-Michel Gathy’s architecture and interiors with the island’s granite, tropical vegetation and Indian Ocean views. Retracting glazing allows living spaces to open towards private terraces and pools, making the outdoors part of the accommodation rather than an additional amenity.

NextSpace supplied outdoor furniture from DEDON, Gloster, RODA and Ethimo, working with Parker Procurement and the LVMH project team. The selection brought together four distinct design languages within a resort where privacy and a close relationship with nature shape the guest experience.

The particular challenge of such a setting is visual restraint. With the landscape already providing so much character, outdoor furniture has to offer comfort without taking over the scene. This project expresses that balance: recognisable European outdoor collections placed within a distinctly Seychellois environment, supporting the transition from indoor living to a more open, unhurried way of inhabiting the coast.
