Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi
Outdoor furniture at the scale of a palace.
At Emirates Palace, the outdoor experience is measured in gardens, long perspectives and the changing relationship between shade and open sky. WATG’s architectural and landscape design established a setting in which the grounds are not a backdrop to the hotel, but part of its defining identity. The scale is grand; the guest’s experience remains personal.
DEDON outdoor furniture is used for balconies and pool areas, contributing to two very different ways of using the property. A balcony is a private extension of the room. A pool setting is a shared space, with its own movement, atmosphere and social rhythm.
Against the palace’s formal architecture, DEDON introduces the tactile language of woven outdoor design. The furniture gives individual seating areas a sense of ease without competing with their surroundings, whether experienced privately from a balcony or within the shared atmosphere of the pool. It is a more personal expression of a property now known as Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi.
