Description

Gordon Guillaumier designed the Onda Lounge Chair for Roda as the lounge chair of Onda, a small family of fluid, unstructured volumes made for the most easy going kind of outdoor relaxation. A water repellent polyester bag filled with polystyrene balls and synthetic fibre shapes itself around the body, dressed in a fabric cover with a Batyline base and a polyester belt handle.

Measuring 110 x 110 cm and 70 cm high with a 35 cm seat, it can be dressed in more than one hundred Roda outdoor fabrics. It brings quiet luxury to private terraces, gardens and poolside lounges.

Gordon Guillaumier

Gordon Guillaumier is a Maltese-born Italian designer based in Milan, where he has been active since the early 1990s. After studying industrial design and interior architecture in Italy, he collaborated with some of the country's most influential studios before establishing his own practice, working across furniture, lighting and interiors for brands such as Roda, Minotti, Tacchini, Poltrona Frau and Driade.

His approach is marked by discretion, clean lines and careful attention to materials and proportions, producing pieces that feel both timeless and relaxed. For Roda he has designed outdoor collections that balance rigorous construction with a warm, inviting character, making them equally suited to residential gardens and refined hospitality settings.
