Michael Anastassiades is a Cypriot born designer based in London, known internationally for his work at the intersection of product design, lighting, and contemporary art. Trained as a civil engineer at Imperial College and later at the Royal College of Art, he founded his own studio in 1994 and has since built a reputation for objects that feel essential, almost archetypal, combining mathematical rigour with quiet sensuality and an acute attention to balance, proportion, and light.

For Roda, Anastassiades translates this distilled, jewellery like precision into the outdoor landscape with the Plein Air collection. Aluminium lines rise from the ground to form the legs and chassis of the tables in a single continuous gesture, while the seating pieces answer with refined geometries in powder coated stainless steel and Batyline. The result is a family of objects that feel understated yet unmistakable, as comfortable on an urban terrace as in a quiet garden.
