Designed by Mario Ruiz, the Boro Lounge Chair frames a warm, tactile take on outdoor living, its premium teak structure wrapped in a hand woven rope back that softens the silhouette without losing its architectural clarity. Deep, resilient cushions settle into the frame, an invitation to linger that feels both grounded and refined.

Made to live outdoors, the teak weathers gracefully while the all weather rope and sealed high resilience cushions hold their comfort and colour through the seasons. Offered in two natural teak and rope pairings and a full range of premium fabrics, the Boro Lounge Chair brings quiet, textural luxury to a terrace, garden or poolside.

Mario Ruiz

Mario Ruiz is a Spanish industrial designer based in Barcelona, widely recognised for his work across furniture, lighting, and product design for leading European brands. His studio is known for a restrained, functional approach in which proportion, material, and detail carry the weight of the design rather than ornament. Ruiz's work has been recognised with numerous international awards and is held in permanent design collections.

For Danao, Ruiz brings a disciplined European sensibility to the brand's outdoor programme. His Boro collection honours traditional craft techniques, particularly rope weaving, while framing them within a contemporary silhouette. Every detail is resolved for comfort, durability, and the kind of timeless presence that belongs equally in a private residence or a refined hotel setting.
