Designed by Mario Ruiz, the Braide Lounge Chair brings a story of nature and craft to outdoor living, its marine grade aluminium frame cradling a hand woven natural coir seat and back that are as tactile as they are refined. Low, open and quietly sculptural, it invites you to settle in and slow down.

Made to live outdoors, the coir weave resists moisture and wear while the powder coated frame holds its finish through the seasons, with an optional cushion to soften the seat. Offered in three natural aluminium and weave pairings, the Braide Lounge Chair brings textural luxury to a terrace, garden or poolside.

Mario Ruiz

Mario Ruiz is a Spanish industrial designer based in Barcelona, widely recognised for his work across furniture, lighting, and product design for leading European brands. His studio is known for a restrained, functional approach in which proportion, material, and detail carry the weight of the design rather than ornament. Ruiz's work has been recognised with numerous international awards and is held in permanent design collections.

For Danao, Ruiz brings a disciplined European sensibility to the brand's outdoor programme. His Braide collection honours traditional craft techniques, particularly natural coir weaving, while framing them within a contemporary silhouette. Every detail is resolved for comfort, durability, and the kind of timeless presence that belongs equally in a private residence or a refined hotel setting.
