Icarus PX Center Post Umbrella 3 x 3 m

Description

Made in Belgium by the Umbrosa in house design team, the Icarus PX is the freely combinable version of the cocoon shaped centre post parasol that also works as a windshield. Its enveloping form creates the shelter of a private cocoon while you stay in the open air, which makes it a natural choice for exposed terraces, rooftops and waterside settings where the wind is part of the view.

The PX lets you compose your own look from two powder coated frame colours, Black (RAL 9005) and Beige Limestone (RAL 1013), paired with any of the fourteen acrylic canopy colours at a single price. A full 360 degree rotation, adjustable height and a smooth ergonomic mechanism move the large shaded area exactly where you need it, and each parasol includes a protective cover.

Meet The Designer

Umbrosa Design Team (Pieter Willemyns, Hanne Besard, Lennart Delporte, Tore Bleuzé)

Icarus is the work of the Umbrosa Design Team, the in house studio that shapes every Made in Belgium creation the brand is known for. Led by Pieter Willemyns with Hanne Besard, Lennart Delporte and Tore Bleuzé, the team moves fluently between industrial design, engineering and hands on craftsmanship. Their belief is simple: shade should feel effortless to live with, beautiful to look at, and built to endure for years rather than seasons.

That philosophy takes an unexpected turn in Icarus. Studying how nature shelters against the elements, the team gave the parasol an organic cocoon shape that wraps around you and doubles as a windshield, so a breezy terrace stays calm and usable. Behind the sculptural silhouette sits serious engineering, a frame tested to hold firm in strong wind, paired with a full 360 degree rotation and adjustable height that keep the generous shade exactly where you want it.
