Marcello Ziliani is an Italian designer based in Brescia, with a long career in furniture, lighting, and product design for some of the most respected Italian and international brands. His work is characterised by a calm, considered approach in which traditional materials and contemporary techniques are blended into pieces that feel both familiar and quietly modern, often with strong references to craft and to the natural world.

For Ethimo, Marcello Ziliani has developed pieces that bring his sensibility for materials into the outdoor environment. The Kilt Lamp reflects this approach in its dialogue between teak and rope, where two simple, natural elements are brought together to create a soft, atmospheric source of light that feels at home above any outdoor table or seating arrangement.
