Pillow Lantern 47 x 23 x 70 cm

Gordon Guillaumier was born in Malta in 1966 and trained in interior and industrial design in Milan and at the Domus Academy, where he later collaborated with masters such as Rodolfo Dordoni and Luca Meda. Since opening his own Milanese studio, he has worked on product, furniture, lighting, and interior projects for leading European brands, developing a visual language that is calm, rigorous, and quietly poetic.

His work for Roda explores the outdoor world through honest materials, soft geometries, and a sensitivity to light and atmosphere. Pillow distils this approach into a simple, almost sculptural object: a slender teak base and a transparent mesh volume that turns artificial light into something architectural, tactile, and deeply domestic, even when placed on bare ground beneath the open sky.
