Description

Gordon Guillaumier designed the Saddle Comfort Chair for Roda, a generously proportioned outdoor armchair whose frame in powder coated aluminium is strung with polyester or acrylic cord of 3 mm, for a light, tailored look and a relaxed, comfortable seat.

Measuring 60 x 58 cm and 82 cm high with a 39 cm seat, it comes in Smoke or Milk metal with thirteen cord colours, five of them in recycled cord. Seat and back cushions in hydro draining padding are included and can be dressed in more than one hundred Roda outdoor fabrics. It brings quiet luxury to private terraces, gardens and poolside dining areas.

Cushions: Seat and back cushions included, hydro draining.

Gordon Guillaumier

Gordon Guillaumier was born in Malta in 1966 and trained in interior and industrial design in Milan and at the Domus Academy, where he later collaborated with masters such as Rodolfo Dordoni and Luca Meda. Since opening his own Milanese studio, he has worked on product, furniture, lighting, and interior projects for leading European brands, developing a visual language that is calm, rigorous, and quietly poetic.

His work for Roda explores the outdoor world through honest materials, soft geometries, and a sensitivity to the body. Saddle gathers these interests into a single enveloping lounge chair, where a tubular aluminium shell shaped like a large leaf supports a network of polyester or acrylic cords that form a perfectly ergonomic, welcoming seat.
