Spool Coffee Table 80 x 80 x 38 cm

Rodolfo Dordoni (1954 to 2023) was an Italian architect and designer whose Milanese practice shaped some of the most recognizable languages in contemporary furniture. A graduate of the Politecnico di Milano, he spent decades serving as art director and product designer for leading Italian brands, building a body of work defined by quiet elegance, rigorous proportions, and a deep respect for materials and craftsmanship.

For Roda, Dordoni created a long and influential series of outdoor collections that brought domestic warmth and architectural clarity to exterior living. Spool is one of his most expressive programmes, a sofa family where a closely spaced succession of cords wrapped around a tubular metal frame creates sinuous lines that recall weaving spools, balancing strength and lightness without ever neglecting the comfort of the seating.
