Description

Designed by Dirk Wynants with the Umbrosa Design Team and made in Belgium, the Versa PX is a cantilever parasol built around a 360 degree fan mechanism that opens and closes with one easy, satisfying motion. It leans gently forward to 80 degrees, which lifts the canopy clear of the base and opens up the space beneath for a full seating set, so the shade sits over the table rather than around the pole.

This is the freely combinable version, so you build your own from seven powder coated frame colours and fourteen acrylic canopy colours at a single price. Glass fibre ribs give it a robust, wind resistant frame, one hand height adjustment and a full 360 degree rotation move the shade exactly where the sun demands, and the rotation system is integrated neatly into the base. Every parasol includes a protective cover.

Protective cover: Included (Flanelle cover bag).

Material: 100% acrylic canvas canopy (260 g/m²), available in 14 colours.

Ribs: Glass fibre, Ø 16 mm.

Frame and pole: Powder coated aluminium pole (85 x 70 mm section), available in seven colours: Papyrus White (RAL 9018), Black (RAL 9005), Beige Limestone (RAL 1013), Grey Beige (RAL 1019), Earth Clay (RAL 7006), White (RAL 9016) or Bronze (RAL 8014).

Handles: Cast aluminium powder coated, with polished stainless steel 316.

Base: Galvanised steel with fine textured powder coating, with a choice of powder coated or thermo poplar wood top plate.

Made to order: Other frame, base and base top plate colour combinations are available on request. Contact NextSpace brand expert.

Mount: Choose concrete anchorage (permanent fixing), the mobile tile base (ships complete with tiles and wheelset included) or the large flat base.

Rotation: Opens with a full 360 degree fan action, rotates 360 degrees around the base, leans forward to 80 degrees and adjusts height with one hand.

Wind resistance: Up to 5 Beaufort (38 km/h, 24 mph) with a permanently fixed base, tested at TU Delft.

Origin: Designed and manufactured in Belgium.

Versa is the result of a collaboration between Belgian designer Dirk Wynants and the Umbrosa Design Team, the in house studio behind every Made in Belgium creation the brand is known for. Wynants is celebrated for combining bold engineering with elegant, functional form, always looking for a smarter way to solve an everyday problem, and here that instinct meets the team's obsession with shade that is effortless to live with and built to last for years rather than seasons.

Together they gave Versa a 360 degree fan mechanism that opens and closes in one easy motion, a forward lean that lifts the canopy clear of the base, and one hand height adjustment that moves the shade wherever the sun sends it. Robust glass fibre ribs and a rotation system integrated neatly into the base make it as hard wearing as it is refined, a parasol that feels considered from the first turn of the handle to its last season outdoors.
